Seat Shaker
Single Axis Motion Seat

Servos & Simulation offers several models of Seat Shaker
Actuators. Seat Shakers are normally single axis units
that provide vertical vibration to the pilot's seat. This
vibration is used to cues the pilot to aircraft situations.
Seat shakers used in fixed wing
aircraft are used to give the pilot an indication of stall
buffet or other buffet cues such as touchdown bumps and runway
rumble. For some aircraft, such as the F-5 and T-38, the
stall buffet cue is very important.
Seat Shakers are used for rotary wing
aircraft usually to add rotor vibration and touchdown bumps.
The rotor vibration is an important cue to indicate problems
with the rotor (blade out of track, blade imbalance) as well as
vibration during the transition from hover to forward flight.
The Motion Seats (such as the two, three and six dof seat) that
Servos' manufactures can also be used as Seat Shakers. The
Motion Seats provide two axes, three axes or six axes of motion
in addition to vibration cues.
Servos' can design a Seat Shaker for your
company's particular need. If you require further information on this apparatus,
