Motion Platform and Simulator Technology


With over 25+ years in the motion base simulator industry, Servos & Simulation is the original designer of fully electric and completely digital motion platform technology. Based on Servos & Simulation original fully electric and completely digital control loader technology, the motion platform systems evolved into highly precise, highly efficient, environmentally green and a virtually maintenance free product for any industry.


With payloads starting a 500 pounds (220 Kgs) and weighing around 100 pounds (45 Kgs), the smallest of Servos & Simulation motion base systems are light enough to be transported to any location. The largest starting at 10,000 pounds (4545 Kgs) and going up to a customer specification are installed on site with the use of cranes. These systems are typically used for fully high fidelity flight trainers (FAA Level D compliant), but have been known to be used for satellite testing, motion movie theaters, special effects in the movie industry and entertainment rides.


With several different models and degrees of freedom to choose from, Servos & Simulation has a wide selection of generic systems for every type of application. All of our generic systems are completely customizable for the customer's application. All systems come with an integrated top platform that can be modified per customer requirement.


Integrated electronics installed in COTS rack mount chassis, makes for ease of installation. Up to 50' of included cables to the motion base, Hubbell standard 220VAC plug, mating input connector and generic system manual are included. If not purchasing the computer, the customer will receive instructions via the generic system manual on typical input wiring (the system uses a ±7.5VDC analog input). If the customer does purchase the computer system for control of the motion base, included is the computer with the control board, the input cable, operating system, keyboard, mouse, and maintenance software for the motion base. With the computer option, the system is basically plug and play ready!


All systems come with a one year warranty on parts and lifetime phone technical support. Tops on the motion bases can be changed/modified for customer application. Please contact engineering for details.

The systems can be used for simulation trainers (certified by the FAA), automobile trainers, maritime trainers, satellite antenna testing, entertainment rides and medical testing.


The 2,000 lb. or larger payload bases are designed to accommodate a platform with several seats, including the walkway (typically a 4’ x 6’ top – other are available as are custom tops). The 1,000 lbs bases are designed for rides accommodating 1-4 people near the center of the base. The 500 lbs and under bases are single rider bases meant for gaming rides, car simulators, seat shakers or other small applications.


Other combinations of strokes and payloads can be provided at an additional cost based on contract. All bases can be modified to suit and integrated with your hardware/equipment to our top. The top modification can be accommodated at contract time for an additional nominal fee.


The motion platforms are completely electric and environmentally green. The smaller bases can be configured to run from a standard 120 volt, 20 amp circuit with the use of a transformer (customer may purchase the transformer or we can provide at an additional cost). The mid-size bases (1,000 to 4,000 lbs) require 220 volt, either single phase or three phase and the largest bases (6,000 lbs and up) requiring from 220 to 440 volts AC, three phase. We can wire the system for your electrical requirements.
