Venturer Simulator

The Thompson Entertainment Venturer System was originally built in the early 90's as a simulator thrill ride. Dependent on a laser disk and computer system, these systems would fail because either the laser disk or the computer (or both) would quit working. If you have an existing system that was working prior to the laser disk or the computer failing, we have a plug and play replacement solution for your system. The original electronics must still be working for the replacement solution to work. The new computer plays the movie and runs the ride all in a single, rackmount computer case. The computer can output to the original projector system or the new HDMI format, which makes installation a snap. The orignal computer cable and card is re-used so as to keep installation cost to a minimum (new boards can be purchased). The sound has been upgraded to 7.1 dolby and can interface to the existing receiver or can interface to a newer system (customer is responsible for sound and TV upgrades - theses are not included in the cost). The software can be programmed by the customer via MIDI interface with the use of standard MIDI software available on the open market. This frees your system up so that you can run multiple rides on the simulator and change the dynamics of the ride. Morphis Simulator

The Camber Entertainment Morphis Systems were based off their designs and that of Thompson Entertainment as Camber bought Thompson back in the mid 90's. There were two types of Morphis systems; one was a hydraulic system that was based on the Venturer system and a smaller electric system that was based on a design by Servos & Simulation. While the mechanical design of the smaller Morphis system was untouched, the electronics were not the same as Servos & Simulation standard design. The smaller Morphis system can be completely repaired and have all of the electronics replaced. Since there are several ways of repairing this system (and it is a little more complicated to reapir than the Venturer system), please contact engineering with the information on your system so that we can diagnose and get you a quote. We also carry the original OEM hardware/mechanicals for this system.

Since the hydraulic Morphis system is basically a Venturer system, the refurbishment for the system is the same as that listed for the Venturer system in the paragraph above. The refurbishment of these systems would allow for the same software that would go on the Venturer to be on the Morphis system. If you have both systems, this would make all of the systems the same in terms of how the software operates from an operator's point of view. This makes it easier to train personnel for the systems.

Since most hydraulic and electric entertainment ride systems operate about the same as the Venturer and the Morphius systems, we can repair almost all of these systems. Each would have to be evaluated and a custom quote drawn up.
